Air Source Heat Pump Grants

Government Grants are available for energy efficient Heat Pumps to be installed in properties that are currently using fossil fuels such as Oil, LPG, Coal or Wood.
A Heat Pump is an extremely efficient way to heat a property and solar panels are also installed to provide free electricity to run the heat pump.
What are air source heat pump ECO Grants and how do they work?
To put it simply, air source heat pump grants give homeowners the benefit of paying for the installation of air source heat pump systems in their home, as long as they are eligible.

The Government’s ECO Scheme for air source heat pumps applies across England, Scotland and Wales. At a glance, the underlying criteria requires you to be a homeowner and receive at least one of the ECO Scheme qualifying State Benefits, Other Allowances or State Benefits – in order to qualify. These have been explained in detail further down the article.

Therefore, any air source heat pump grants acquired through the Government’s ECO Scheme will help with all upfront costs in the installation of the aforementioned. In some cases, the air source heat pump ECO grant may not cover ALL costs of installation, in which case, homeowners must cover the remaining cost.

The process begins with a free initial survey and assessment of your home’s current heating system in order to determine the cost and feasibility of an air source heat pump installation – and to calculate any contribution by you, if applicable.

The team at Government Energy Grants will conduct a free survey once they have established that you qualify to take advantage of the Government funded ECO scheme.

Do I need an air source heat pump and is it right for my property?
The way an air source heat pump works is that it captures heat from the outside atmospheric air at a low temperature. It then uses a compressor to increase the temperature of the ‘captured air’ and provides heating as well as hot water to be used in your home.

Air source heat pumps are a great way to save on energy bills as they are capable of generating heat at a moderately low temperature and without using too much electricity.

As long as your property is insulated well and there’s no gas connection inside it, then an air source heat pump will make for a great energy-efficient heating system.

Did you know that an energy-efficient air source heat pump installed in a suitable home can provide up to three times as much heat energy than its electricity consumption? This not only translates into fantastic energy savings by also reduces your carbon footprint in a significant way.

Our team of technicians will determine if your property is well-suited to an air source heat pumps, and will provide a free estimate on the spot, to help you quickly take advantage of the Government’s ECO grant for air source heat pumps.

If you want, you can also check with our online eligibility checker or call us and one of our friendly and helpful advisors will put you through a brief evaluation process and once you’ve met with the criteria, we will send out a team to conduct a free survey.
